Great book for concise summaries.
The Rose Bible Overview is a good book for a quick study of a certain book. It portrays interesting facts with time-lines, pictures, side notes, charts, outlines and maps. This book gives facts about background, key verses, main themes, and application. One thing I thought was really cool was how the book showed Christ in each book overview, Genesis - Revelation.
It helps us get a greater grasp of who He really is.
In my opinion, this book would be great for new Christians as well as older ones, as it is a good study tool and still gives basic info for younger people to understand. One other thing is it shows the purpose of the book. This is helpful to those who may only see words, not getting it's real meaning. This helps people look past the genealogies and such to find the real meaning behind the story. God could certainly use this book to show one something he / she hadn't seen before. Although one could find the same information regarding a certain book by self-study, This helps.

Excellent Resource
"Bible Overview" is a Bible reference book that gives a summary of each book of the Protestant Bible and also explains how it relates to the overall themes of the Bible--like how God interacts with mankind and mankind's need for a savior.
Overall, I found this book interesting, informative, and an easy enough read that tweens, teens, and adults could all get a lot out of it. This would make a great youth group or new believer Bible study on understanding the Bible as a whole. Rose Publishing permits making "up to 300 copies of individual pages from the book for classroom use."

Mrs.
I own 3 of the Rose Bible Basic study guides and I love them. Although, I have not read the Bible overview yet, I believe that it will be a great asset to guide me through each book of the of the bible.
