Church history is not about names, dates, and facts. It is about the flesh and blood of people of God and the life and death issues that have shaped their struggles and joys for two thousand years. Christian History Made Easy makes this story come alive. I recommend it enthusiastically!

With a passion for the church's history and a love for "ordinary saints," Timothy Paul Jones has produced an accessible, enjoyable, confessional introduction to Christian history. Reading this text is down-right fun!

It is easier to "get the big picture" of history when it is broken down into a small snapshot. Using this book in a personal study or in a group will enrich the reader and in turn strengthen the church for fulfilling its Christ given mission.

With an extraordinarily engaging writing style, a wry sense of humor, and a keen intellect, Timothy Paul Jones makes church history not only easily understandable but also marvelously fun! Adults will love it. Its unique presentation is "cool" enough to work with older youth.

Timothy Paul Jones has so designed the Leader's Guides that the teacher really is a leader and a fellow pilgrim in the study of Christian history. These lesson plans are well-explained and easily understood. They also offer the bonus of being wonderful models for teaching that can be applied to any subject area in a church's education ministry.

When possible, Jones gives a voice to those who have often been voiceless, such as women, minorities, and non-European Christians.

It reads like an action comic or even the Gospel of mark—fast, hard-hitting, clever, accurate.

Timothy Paul Jones has managed to present our Christian history in a way that is fresh, easy to study and understand, and helpful as a told for teaching.

…an indispensable resource for the local church's member training curriculum.
