Feasts of the Bible 6-Session DVD-Based Bible Study Resource

Discover how The Feasts & Holidays of the Bible can enrich your worship of Jesus.

Why Study the Feasts of the Bible?
God's redemptive plan is unveiled through the feasts of Israel. The feasts are still relevant for our lives today because they—
  • Show how Messiah Jesus is the fulfillment of the feasts and holidays.
  • Illustrate the Jewish roots of Christianity.
  • Explain history and symbolism in the Old Testament.
  • Open our eyes to the Lord's provision, love, and care for us.
  • Inspire us to worship God.
  • Point to our glorious future with Messiah.
Scripture says that the Lord established these feasts for all people for all time.
The Feasts & Holidays of the Bible is the ultimate 6-session Christian DVD-based study on the feasts and holidays of the Bible. Dr. Sam Nadler, your guide through The Feasts & Holidays of the Bible, was brought up in a traditional Jewish home, and came to believe in Jesus as Messiah. One of today's most solid Messianic Jewish teachers, Dr. Nadler has served with Jews for Jesus, Chosen People Ministries, and is now president of Word of Messiah Ministries.

As you go through The Feasts and Holidays of the Bible series, you will learn how to conduct your own Christian Passover Seder. As you walk through the Christian Passover Seder, you will be surprised to see how all of the Old Testament Passover activities point symbolically to Jesus.

You don’t have to be an expert to lead this 6-session study. The Feasts & Holidays of the Bible study is perfect for small groups, Bible studies, or personal use. Ages: Young adult to adult.

The sessions:

  • 1. God's Redemptive Plan, Sabbath
  • 2. Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits
  • 3. Pentecost
  • 4. Feast of Trumpets
  • 5. Day of Atonement
  • 6. Feast of Tabernacles

"Sam Nadler is one of today's most solid Messianic Jewish teachers. He brings fascinating insights without losing sight of major scriptural truths. He is doctrinally sound and yet calls for Christians to look afresh for new discoveries the Word. And he demonstrates with undeniable clarity how the Feasts and Holy Days of Israel are of importance to the Church today, indeed, how they are ultimately witnesses to Yeshua the Messiah. If you're looking for practical, edifying, and enlightened teaching on this important topic, look no further."

About the Author

Sam is a Jewish believer in Jesus who was brought up in an Orthodox Jewish home in Queens, New York. As he began looking at the Old Testament prophecies, they seemed to point to Jesus as the Messiah. He soon came to faith in Jesus and realized his Jewishness wasn't just some accident of nature, but that God had a plan and purpose, not only for the Jewish people as a whole, but for Sam personally.

Ministry

Sam Nadler is president of Word of Messiah Ministries, an outreach which develops leaders for world-wide impact for the gospel among the Jewish People. He served as president of Chosen People Ministries and started the Jews for Jesus outreach in New York City. He received a doctoral degree from Southern Evangelical Seminary and has authored several books including Messiah in the Feasts of Israel, The Messianic Answer Book, Feasts of the Bible and devotional commentaries on Jonah and Ruth.

on 6/15/2015 Feasts very insightful
Our ladies Bible study group found this study opened our eyes as to how Jesus can be seen in the feasts. We had studied the feasts before, but it had taken the approach of how each feast is celebrated. This showed how the spring feasts were completed in Christ's first coming and caused us to ponder about the fall feasts being fulfilled in Christ's second coming.
on 1/12/2015 disappointing
The presentation is done well and very professional. But the author/speaker spends the vast majority of his efforts simply rehashing facts already known (Feasts 101). Unfortunately the speaker clearly demonstrates that He does not fully understand the work Christ accomplished on the Cross nor the prophetic importance of the fall festivals. Space does not allow for full elaboration but with the Cross, Christ describes Himself as the chief cornerstone. A cornerstone unites. Rom. 1:16: “for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all…” A covenant is analogous to a last will and testament. Legally conditions must be made BEFORE death and cannot be changed AFTER - not even by Paul (Heb. 9:16-17). Therefore to claim today something special about the Jews like the Sabbath which Christ Himself said was for man – is to deny the work Christ accomplished on the Cross. One Lord – One faith – One baptism – Does Christ have two brides? Two holy days?
on 6/17/2013 I have Never learned So Much
Why would a Christian want to study the Feasts of the Bible? How can the Feasts celebrated by the Hebrew people be meaningful today for Christian and Jew alike? Where should I start in studying the feasts of the Bible? With so many books and video teachings which one can I trust? The depth and scope of his insight and understanding presented in this study will inform and delight you as you discover how God’s appointed times are designed to bring our relationship with Him into redemptive fulfillment in Jesus the Messiah. The first appointed time God has established is the Sabbath. This time of rest in which God desired to dwell with us in an ongoing relationship was corrupted when we as a race represented by Adam and Eve chose to destroy our relationship with God by disobedience. The Appointed times which include the Sabbath and the Feasts were designed to restore or redeem our relationship and rest in Him. They foreshadow God’s plan for us and are fulfilled in Jesus in great detail
on 4/17/2012 Great Resource for Teachers and Students
“All Scripture is God breathed and is profitable…” – 2 Timothy 3:16 “Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us…” Romans 15:4 I love the Old Testament. Don’t get me wrong now. I LOVE the New Testament. But the Old Testament is not to be neglected just because the greater covenant has come. the Scriptures from the beginning to the 400 years of silence after Malachi are absolutely precious and should be read frequently and studied deeply by all saints. Rose Publishing has put together a fantastic study in it’s 6-Session DVD and study guide pack on the Feasts of the Old Testament. I highly recommend this resource to you. Dr. Sam Nadler walks you through each of the feasts of the Bible, slowly and beautifully unpacking it’s deep significance, it’s relation to redemption history and its ultimate fulfillment in Christ, our Savior. You will be challenged to look at seemingly unrelated and irrelevant passages in the Old Testament in a new and fresh way and you wi

“The Feasts of the Bible provides information about the feasts in an engaging and easy to understand way. More importantly though it helps the reader understand Christ and the New Testament by providing an understanding of the Old Testament.”

Feasts of the Bible: Passover, Pentecost, Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Tabernacles by Dr. Sam Nadler, DVD-based study, 6 segments, plus leader’s guide (Rose Publishing).

It’s worth mentioning this series again, as we are observing Holy Week, because it gives us a much deeper understanding of the events leading up to Good Friday and Easter when we better understand Pentecost (Pesach).

The sessions are Sabbath Rest: God’s Redemptive Program; Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits; Pentecost; Feast of Trumpets; Day of Atonement; Feast of Tabernacles.

The point of the series is to show how Messiah Jesus is the fulfillment of the feasts and holidays, to illustrate the deep Jewish roots of Christianity, to explain history and symbolism in the Old Testament, to open our eyes to the Lord’s provision, love, and care for us, to inspire us to worship God, and to point to our glorious future with Messiah.

Many Christian congregations hold a Passover Seder for Maundy Thursday (I have led one many times), which includes several symbolic elements: bitter herbs (to remind them of the bitterness of slavery in Egypt); a lamb shank bone (to remember the sacrifice); charoset; parsley; a boiled egg (the betzah); and four cups of wine, signifying consecration, judgment, redemption and praise. The Lord’s Supper commemorates the final meal Jesus ate with His disciples prior to His death and resurrection, which was a Passover meal. Christ became the sacrificial lamb for all time.

50 days after Passover, Pentecost was celebrated. This was the festival that became the birthday for the Church, the Body of Christ on Earth.

The boxed leader’s set includes the DVD teaching sessions with Dr. Sam Nadler and a separate CD with PDF files for the leader guide, plus poster, flier, Feasts of the Bible PowerPoint presentation, postcard, bulletin insert, and banners for promotion. We teach church seminars on the history and importance of understanding the new covenant of Jesus Christ and the Tabernacle of Moses, and we were thrilled to discover this new resource [Feasts of the Bible]. Dr. Nadler gives a clear and concise explanation of how Jesus fulfilled every aspect of the Hebrew feasts. His presentations can be easily understood by a novice, serious Bible student, or theologian. We can't wait for more.

Rose Publishing has put together a great package which provides every resource needed for publicizing and presenting this subject to small groups or large. We can't recommend it enough.

Everything God has ever done has meaning, layers of meaning. . . and purpose. To learn His meanings and purpose is to know God Himself better. What in all eternity is more important than that? My personal thanks to Dr. Sam Nadler.

Dr. Sam Nadler loves the word of God and the people of God and it becomes clear as he guides each student through what is often a misunderstood and overlooked part of God's incredible plan. Seeing Christ in the Feasts of Israel will impact and enlighten you as to the past, present and most importantly, the future!

Dr. Sam Nadler is amazing! I was suddenly swept away by the magnificent symbolism and vibrant truth the feasts portray. His perspective as a Jewish believer brought up in a traditional home made the Old Testament Feasts come alive as never before. His insight and attention to detail is phenomenal. Who could have guessed it was all about Jesus Christ? Compelling, enlightening and powerful teaching!
